Intermit ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application ("App") handles your information.
1. Our Privacy Approach
Intermit is designed with privacy at its core. No personal data leaves your device. All information you enter into the App — including fasting history, cycle data, weight, mood logs, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
- Fasting Data: Your fasting history, timer records, protocols, streaks, and completion statistics.
- Cycle Data: If you enable cycle-synced fasting, your menstrual cycle dates and phase information. This data is encrypted locally using SQLCipher.
- Health Logs: Weight entries, mood and energy ratings logged after fasts.
- Settings: Your notification preferences, selected protocols, and app configuration.
This data never leaves your device. If you delete the App or clear its data, all of this information will be permanently removed. You can export your data as CSV at any time from within the App.
3. Cycle Data Protection
We understand the sensitivity of menstrual cycle data. All cycle-related information is:
- Encrypted on your device using SQLCipher
- Never transmitted to any server or third party
- Never included in any analytics or diagnostics
- Accessible only to you within the App
- Permanently deleted when you remove the App or clear its data
4. Push Notifications
With your permission, the App sends local push notifications to remind you about fasting schedules and milestones. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no server communication is involved. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services on health-related screens. The only third-party involvement is the Apple App Store, which processes your one-time purchase. Apple has its own privacy policy governing payment processing.
6. Data Sharing
We do not collect, sell, trade, or share any personal information. Since no data leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share with third parties.
7. Your Data, Your Control
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:
- Export your fasting history as CSV at any time
- Delete individual fasts or all data within the App
- Remove all data by uninstalling the App
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. Since the App does not collect any personal data, no information about any user — including children — is transmitted or stored by us.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
