Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Intermit mobile application ("App") operated by Intermit ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Intermit is an intermittent fasting tracker application that helps users:
- Track fasting windows with a visual timer and metabolic stage indicators
- Choose from 13+ fasting protocols (16:8, OMAD, 5:2, Ramadan mode, and more)
- Sync fasting protocols with menstrual cycle phases (optional)
- View fasting history, streaks, and statistics
- Log mood, energy, and weight after fasts
- Export data as CSV
All data is stored exclusively on your device. No personal data is transmitted to or stored on external servers.
3. Medical Disclaimer
The App is intended for informational and tracking purposes only and does not provide medical advice. Intermittent fasting may not be suitable for everyone. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any fasting regimen, especially if you:
- Have diabetes or blood sugar regulation issues
- Take medications (including NSAIDs, blood pressure, or thyroid medications)
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive
- Have a history of eating disorders
- Have any other medical condition
The cycle-synced fasting feature provides general wellness suggestions based on published research. It is not a substitute for professional medical or gynecological advice.
4. Purchase and Payment
Intermit is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. By purchasing the App, you agree to the payment terms presented at the time of purchase. No subscription or recurring charges apply.
Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store.
5. User Responsibilities
When using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Not copy, modify, or distribute the App's content without permission
- Not use the App for any commercial purpose without our consent
6. User Content
You retain full ownership of any content you create within the App, including fasting logs, cycle data, and health records. All content is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to any server.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and store within the App. You can export your data as CSV at any time. If you delete the App or clear its data, your content will be permanently removed.
7. Push Notifications
The App may send local push notifications to remind you about fasting schedules, milestones, and protocol recommendations. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Intermit and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Transfer your license to any third party
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
THE APP DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. Any information provided is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERMIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Personal injury or property damage
- Any damages arising from your use of the App
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to purchase the App.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
